The Problem
Loyal customers who liked a previous order had to manually find the same product and reconfigure all options and measurements from scratch. That made repeat purchases slower and increased the chance of mistakes, even though all the relevant information already existed in their past orders.
The Solution
We added a Reorder capability in the customer account's Order History. From a previous order, the customer can start a reorder flow that reuses the original product, key configuration, and saved measurement profile where applicable. They can review, adjust if needed, and add the reordered items to their cart in just a few clicks, instead of rebuilding the configuration manually.
Why It Mattered
It's now much easier for satisfied customers to come back and buy again, directly leveraging the trust and effort invested in the first order. That supports higher repeat purchase rates, especially for core garments and wedding or occasion orders, while reducing friction and errors in the process.
Technical Details
Order details and associated measurement profiles are read from Shopify and the custom app. The reorder flow reconstructs the product configuration, including the made-to-measure profile reference and key options and automatically adds the item to the cart, with the option for the customer to further adjust the current set of options and sizes.
